Custom bronze bust sculpture: how to surprise your loved ones with a very special present that will be admired forever.
A rather frequent request that arrives here at Vittorio Tessaro’s laboratory and showroom is a “bronze bust of myself”.
People are always fascinated to have a tridimensional portrait in their homes:
I can say they are in safe hands because over the years I have created numerous busts and bronze memorial statues for people who wanted to remember their loved ones forever or for people who just wanted a special object to decorate their homes.
As a sculptor specialized in bronze sculpture, I have dedicated my life to capturing the essence of the human figure and giving eternal form to beauty.
Among my works, bronze busts and memorial statues have a special place, as they allow me to pay homage to a person’s memory while providing comfort to their loved ones.
Bronze is the perfect material for this purpose: noble, durable and timeless, it has been used since ancient times to celebrate heroes, rulers and important figures with personalized statues and custom made statues. A bronze memorial statue or custom bust sculpture is a way to overcome the fragility of human life and preserve cherished memories forever in a bronze bust from photo or personalized bronze statues.
Creation of a custom bronze bust from photo
My role as an artist is to interpret your memories and the stories you tell me about your loved one, and translate them into a sculpture that embodies their spirit and likeness. I observe photographs to understand the subject’s distinctive traits, and work for months to perfect every detail in the clay model of a custom bronze bust – from the hint of a smile to a beloved facial expression, from the shape of the eyes to a meaningful accessory.
My sculptures aim to capture not only physical likeness but personality and character, to celebrate the profound humanity of the subject rather than just their outward appearance. The result is a memorial that highlights what made your loved one special and honors the relationship you shared.
Make a bronze bust from photo could be challenging because sometimes the photographic material is not of the best quality.
Besides it’s not easy to reproduce the smallest somatic features.
During the process of creating I always follow the client’s instructions. After customer approval of the clay model, I can proceed with the mold. The bronze sculpture is always made with the traditional lost-wax method.
For the bronze casting I use a partner foundry that is recognized as one of the best foundries in the world. Only in this way I have the absolute guarantee of a caring and flawless work.
Choosing the right foundry is important to avoid defects over the years, that is typical of cheaper bronze sculptures.
I always oversee every smallest phase of the processing: starting from the wax phase, which is crucial for the success of the work, and then the bronze chiselling and coating.
In the end I always feel rewarded by the realistic result obtained and the customer’s approval is the best satisfaction.
Once the work is finished, the mold will be destroyed, so you can be sure of owning a unique sculpture in the world!
Personalized memorial statue from photo
Beyond likeness, a bronze sculpture is a work of art that through its beauty and emotional intensity moves the viewer and stands the test of time. Your memories will live on undimmed in the noble patina and eternal form of bronze, depicted with the empathy and passion that have guided my career as an artist.
The opportunity to commemorate a loved one with personalized bronze statues is a privilege, and my goal is to provide you with a memorial of sublime artistic value – as well as an eternal connection to the person you cherish. My timeless sculptures bring solace in loss and overcome the fleeting nature of life through the ancient magic of art.
If you seek to honor a cherished memory in an exceptionally meaningful way, I hope you will consider immortalizing it in bronze. It would be my honor as an artist to devote myself to this purpose and create a memorial of profound beauty and humanity.
